Rules

In our goal to provide you the ultimate survival PVE & PVP experience, we have set-up a list of rules so everybody can play in a safe and non-toxic environment. Breaking any of the rules may result in appropriate sanctions, including, but not limited to a permanent ban.

Disclaimer: The following guidelines are rooted in principles of courtesy, respect, fairness and plain common sense. This list is not exhaustive and rules may be modified or updated when/as needed.

1. Use Common Sense

  • Any actions harming the community, players, server economy, or the server itself and not intended as a normal feature of Minecraft or MineValley may lead to punishment, even if not explicitly listed.

2. No Cheating, Hacking, or Exploiting Bugs

  • Cheating: Gaining an advantage through system manipulation.
  • Hacking: Modifying your client or using programs for advantage.
  • Allowed Mods: Minimaps/Waypoints, Lighting modifications (Shaders, brightness), Optifine, Shulker Peek, Crafting Recipe Mods, Schematica/Litematica (No AutoBuild), REI/NEI/JEI, Itemscroller, Appleskin.
  • Auto-clickers are prohibited.
  • Exploiting: Abusing bugs or errors.
  • Report bugs via a ticket; hiding or abusing them increases ban length.
  • Chunk loaders are not permitted.

3. Bypassing Ban/Mute/Filter

  • Do not use alternate accounts or other methods to bypass bans or mutes.
  • Do not attempt to circumvent the chat filter.

4. No Disrespect/Harassment/Trolling/Toxicity/Racism/Questionable Terms

  • Be polite and respectful to others.
  • Report toxic behavior or use /ignore.
  • Repeated toxic behavior will result in punishment.
  • Harassment includes repeated unwanted contact.
  • Staff may mute heated discussions; refusal to comply will result in punishment.
  • Racism and socially questionable terms are strictly prohibited.

5. No Spamming/Advertising

  • Avoid excessive use of caps, characters, messages, links, and non-ASCII characters.
  • Do not advertise non-MineValley servers or discords.
  • Keep chat in English; other languages are only allowed in whispers.

6. No Excessive Derogatory Swearing

  • Swearing is allowed for self-expression, not to insult others.
  • Family-friendly server; excessive swearing will be censored.

7. No Scamming

  • Scamming includes false promises or deceptive practices.
  • Examples: Modifying or renaming items to deceive, tricking players for profit.
  • Transactions involving real-life money are not condoned.

8. No Teleport Trapping/PVP Bypass

  • Portal trapping and blocking Nether portals are prohibited.
  • Any means to kill a player where PVP is disabled is not allowed.

9. No Death Threats/Malicious Threats/Encouraging Suicide

  • Malicious threats include DDOS attacks or leaking personal information.
  • Real-life death threats and encouraging suicide are strictly forbidden.

10. Griefing/Stealing

  • Raiding bases is allowed. This is possible as soon as a Protection Stone runs out of fuel.
  • Respect map art ownership.
  • Use common sense regarding others’ builds and territory.

11. Alternative Accounts

  • Do not use alt accounts for AFK farming, breaking rules, or abusing rewards systems.

12. AFK

  • MineValley has an automatic AFK-detection system. When going AFK, you will be teleported to an AFK zone where you will receive rewards. Exploiting this system to stay AFK without getting teleported is not allowed.

13. No Inappropriate Skins/Usernames/Builds

  • This family-friendly server has zero tolerance for offensive content.
  • Prohibited: Nudity, racism, Nazi symbols, violent representations, offensive usernames, inappropriate builds, or item names.
